Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive management of the after-school enrichment program, including financial oversight, staff assignment, curriculum planning, and compliance with state laws and school board policies. Coordinate and direct hourly extended day personnel, overseeing group leaders to ensure appropriate educational activities and supervision of children. Handle administrative duties such as dispensing medication, managing cash and check transactions for tuition, maintaining payroll records, and conducting fixed asset inventory. Execute safety protocols by leading fire and severe weather drills, responding to emergencies, and enforcing the OCPS Code of Student Conduct. Facilitate staff meetings, recruit new employees, and train staff on developmentally appropriate practices and district technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree preferred plus a minimum of two (2) years related experience managing a child care, recreational, teaching or similar program
- minimum of three (3) years related experience managing a child care, recreational, teaching or similar program
- any equivalent combination of related education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential job functions
- demonstrated aptitude for working with children
- providing curricular leadership
- current CPR and First Aid Certification
- ability to review, classify, categorize, prioritize, and/or analyze data and/or information
- ability to provide leadership, guidance, assistance, and/or interpretation to others on how to apply procedures and standards to specific situations
- ability to operate, maneuver and/or control the actions of equipment, machinery, tools, and/or materials used in performing essential functions
- ability to utilize a wide variety of reference, descriptive, and/or advisory data and information
- ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- ability to calculate decimals and percentages
- ability to utilize principles of fractions and/or interpret graphs
- ability to apply principles of rational systems
- ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form
- ability to exercise independent judgment to adopt or modify methods and standards to meet variations in assigned objectives
- ability to exercise the judgment, decisiveness and creativity required in situations involving the evaluation of information against sensory, judgmental, or subjective criteria
