Job Summary

Monitor and train staff on best practices for the social, emotional, and mental wellbeing of students across elementary, middle, and high schools. Lead program development for social, emotional, and mental health initiatives while collecting, analyzing, and composing data reports to inform decision-making. Provide mentoring, guidance, and performance evaluations to direct reports, including school counselors, mental health counselors, and instructional support personnel. Foster communication among stakeholders from various departments to increase student achievement and make hiring recommendations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current research, trends, and best practices relevant to the area of responsibility.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution
  • Valid Florida teaching certificate
  • Have applied for a Florida teaching certificate
  • Licensure through Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling
  • Three (3) years of administrative or leadership experience in a district-based or school-based position
  • Three (3) years of administrative or leadership experience as a member of a school leadership team
  • Two (2) years of experience in a position related to school-based counseling or mental health services
