Job Summary
Lead the electrical design and development of PCB-based embedded electronic products from concept through production readiness. Serve as technical lead for assigned projects, defining requirements, developing schedules, and coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure quality, cost, and delivery objectives. Design, develop, integrate, test, and validate embedded hardware and systems while analyzing technical challenges and implementing engineering solutions. Prepare engineering documentation, design records, and production release packages to support manufacturing and regulatory compliance. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and technicians.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline
- 5–10 years of hands-on experience designing and developing electronic assemblies or equivalent demonstrated engineering experience
- Experience designing PCB-based embedded electronic systems
- Strong understanding of electronic hardware design, product development, system integration, testing, and validation
- Experience leading engineering projects through the complete product development lifecycle
- Knowledge of electronic system troubleshooting, verification, and production readiness activities
- Experience preparing engineering documentation and manufacturing support documentation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and coordinate cross-functional engineering efforts
Desired Qualifications
- Experience developing embedded electronic systems utilizing: Microprocessors, FPGAs, Analog circuits, Wireless RF technologies, Li-Ion battery systems, Sensors
- Experience with new product development and new product introduction (NPI)
- Experience with Stage-Gate product development methodologies
- Experience supporting domestic and international product compliance and regulatory certification
- Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams supporting hardware and embedded product development
