Job Summary

Lead short- and long-term asset strategies with Leasing and Operations teams to maximize value and optimize customer satisfaction. Monitor property operating and financial performance, discuss material variances with analysts, and identify pathways to mitigate unfavorable results. Create periodic property valuation analyses supported by market research and establish clear goals for onsite property management teams. Manage leasing activity including agent selection, commercial lease analyses, and negotiating economic and legal terms while reviewing all lease documents prior to execution. Collaborate with Development, Accounting, and Property Management teams to ensure seamless asset transitions and close new business pursuits through due diligence. Mentor analysts and associates on Hines culture and best practices while driving creative problem-solving for mid-level asset issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Business Administration from an accredited institution
  • Six or more years of experience in the commercial real estate industry
  • Experience leading and managing a team and mentoring team members
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency with Argus valuation software
  • Highest degree of integrity
  • Ability to be a risk taker
  • Effective interpersonal communication (verbal and written) and listening skills
  • Analytical problem-solving skills capable of undertaking detailed analyses and making well-reasoned, decisive recommendations
  • Ability to perform complex financial analyses
  • Strong understanding of real estate development and acquisition models
  • Ability to explain economic and accounting considerations
  • Ability to review and manage operating budgets
  • Project management (budget, schedule, problem-solving)
  • Demonstrated prioritization, organization, and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a complex high-volume environment
  • Competency to work with all levels of management and personnel on critical projects
  • Ability to withstand long working hours
  • Ability to thrive and advance in a high-pressured atmosphere
  • Willingness and ability to walk around project sites under construction to review progress
  • Willingness and ability to travel to and from destinations by plane and/or car
  • Work indoors approximately 95% of the time and outdoors 5% of the time
