Job Summary
Oversee technical and mechanical work at The Rosslyn at Garden Oaks by completing assigned work orders, performing general cleaning, and diagnosing property issues in accordance with Hines policies. Adjust and operate fire alarm and life safety systems while maintaining proper safety techniques for all equipment malfunctions. Prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins through inspections, contractor scheduling, and maintenance tasks. Manage documentation, verify parts for cost-cutting programs, and re-order supplies without waste. Operate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment while following emergency procedures and shift requirements including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two or more years' of property maintenance or related experience
- EPA Type I & II or Universal certification
- Pool & Spa Operator license
- General knowledge of plumbing
- General knowledge of electrical
- General knowledge of general carpentry
- General knowledge of HVAC
- General knowledge of appliances
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Organization
- Strong multitasking abilities
- Ability to work indoors approximately 80% of the time
- Ability to work outdoors approximately 20% of the time
- Ability to use olfactory, auditory, and visual senses
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. or more

- Ability to access remote work areas and confined spaces
- Ability to use full range of manual dexterity
- Ability to meet the shift working requirements of the assigned property
