Job Summary
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of accounting information to meet reporting requirements for specific projects and business entities. Prepare funding requests to investors and lenders, process wire payments for distributions and debt service, and review AR aging to recommend write-offs or reserves. Record journal entries to the general ledger in compliance with GAAP, perform month-end close procedures, and prepare monthly or quarterly financial statements. Maintain fixed assets, calculate management fees, and assist with annual property budget reconciliations between Argus models and forecasts. Research accounting guidance, draft position memos, and support internal audits and tax preparation workpapers while carrying out proper procedures to ensure internal controls are met.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited institution
- Three years of public accounting experience or four years of professional accounting experience
- Work indoors approximately 100% of the time
- Ability to lift general ledgers, files, records, and computer paper (approximately 5-35 lbs.)
- Work overtime as business needs deem appropriate

- Commercial real estate experience

- Independently set priorities and proactively meet deadlines
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple assignments
- Proficiency utilizing various systems; Oracle & JD Edwards system experience
