Job Summary
Monitor entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and patrons to prevent theft and maintain safety. Circulate among site occupants to preserve order, patrol premises to prevent hazards, and enforce company policies. Escort individuals to specified locations or off customer property as needed. Write detailed narrative reports, maintain daily activity reports, and investigate incidents. Provide courteous assistance to customers and respond to emergency situations. Must cover Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3:00pm-11:00pm as an As Needed part-time role. Valid driver's license and CPR certification required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be able to stand on post for 80-90% of shift
- One (1) year of experience as a security officer
- Prior retail security experience
- Open availability to work all shifts and schedules as needed
- Reliable transportation
- Good communications skills
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods
- Must be able to walk/run flights of stairs on a daily basis
- Ability to think clearly during crisis or high-stress periods
- Reliable, positive attitude, and ethical behavior
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Walk and stand for extended periods (including completing multiple rounds and patrols of up to 1–2 miles per shift)
- Frequently climb stairs, ramps, or ladders as required by site patrol routes
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Maintain alertness and situational awareness during all patrols
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- CPR Certification
