Job Summary
Unarmed Security Officers in Myrtle Beach, SC are responsible for patrolling property by foot and vehicle, providing courteous guest assistance, responding to disturbances and emergencies, coordinating with authorities, monitoring CCTV with the surveillance team, maintaining detailed incident and activity reports, performing routine checks of doors, windows, lighting, and fire safety equipment, promoting safety procedures to guests and staff, and using conflict-resolution skills to peacefully manage disputes. This role requires strong communication, the ability to stand/walk outdoors for extended periods, weekend/holiday availability, and adherence to professional appearance standards. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Experience in security, law enforcement, or a customer-facing role preferred
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Must be able to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Must be available for weekends, and holidays
- Able to pass pre-employment drug screen, MVR, and criminal background check
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Able to meet physical essential functions of the job, which can include lifting 50+ lbs, completing foot patrols, walking up and down stairs, working in inclement weather
- Must not have face and neck tattoos
- Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor
