Job Summary
Patrol client facilities to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or infractions before they occur, while responding to emergencies, investigating disturbances, and ensuring the safety of people and property. Prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting, utilizing advanced computer skills for access control technology at specific sites. Handle common and crisis situations calmly and efficiently using independent judgment within established guidelines. Maintain professional communication with all personnel and the general public. Complete a background investigation and drug/alcohol test as a condition of employment.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
- Ability to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines
- One-year Security Officer experience
- Valid/current State of Texas Non-Commissioned Level II Unarmed Security License
- Ability to frequently prepare written reports and logs in neat, legible handwriting
- Ability to read and understand all operating procedures and instructions
- Advanced computer skills to utilize innovative, access control technology at client-specific sites
- Ability to handle both common and crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
- Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Security or related work experience with a solid understanding of the security industry and contract security services
- Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Able to work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow, or heat
- Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
- Driver's License
- Must successfully complete a background investigation
- Must successfully complete a post-offer/pre-employment drug/alcohol test
- Must be required to pass Drivers Record check
- Travel is required occasionally
