Job Summary
Conduct walking patrols to identify safety concerns, monitor access points, verify IDs, and check surveillance systems for threats. Respond to alarms and emergencies per protocol, maintain accurate activity logs, and perform routine security tasks like locking doors. Assist visitors and employees professionally while enforcing site-specific post orders and ensuring compliance with client policies. Report to assigned worksites within required response times and use tablets for incident reporting. This full-time 2nd shift role operates Thursday through Sunday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM with starting pay of $15.50 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Security Officer/Guard License
- At least 18 years old
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to accept schedule changes and respond to operational staffing needs with reasonable notice
- Ability to report to assigned worksites within the required response time
- Ability to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Weekend availability
- Strong situational awareness and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and effective in critical situations
- Basic computer skills; ability to use tablets for reporting
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Louisiana Armed Security Guard Card
- 1+ Year of Verifiable Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience
- 2+ years of verifiable customer service experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
