Job Summary
Conduct routine patrols of assigned buildings, facilities, and grounds by foot, vehicle, or electronic monitoring systems to ensure safety and security. Control access to client facilities by verifying identification and authorizing entry for employees, visitors, and contractors. Inspect doors, windows, gates, and fences to ensure they are secure, and observe, document, and report property damage, unusual occurrences, suspicious activity, and safety hazards. Enforce company and client policies by providing direction to individuals, addressing rule violations, and removing unauthorized persons. Respond appropriately to emergencies, alarms, medical incidents, fires, and other critical situations to protect life and property. Operate and maintain camp billeting, visitor management, and electronic access control systems while monitoring facility systems including fire protection, security, lighting, heating, ventilation, and related building systems. Provide transportation services using vehicles ranging from standard passenger vehicles to buses and off-road vehicles as required. Provide emergency medical response, including CPR, AED use, basic first aid, and patient movement within the scope of training and certification. Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Perform other duties as assigned in support of departmental and operational objectives.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of three (3) years of full-time professional experience in security, law enforcement, or military service
- Relevant post-secondary education
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years
- Ability to obtain an Alaska Guard License prior to employment
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and contract-specific software
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team while maintaining positive relationships with employees, customers, and clients
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and make effective decisions with minimal supervision
- Ability to work a two (2) weeks on, two (2) weeks off rotational schedule
- Ability to stand and/or walk for up to twelve (12) hours per shift
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English
- Must comply with all company and client safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

- Must successfully complete all pre-employment requirements, which may include a criminal background check, drug screening, physical examination, fit-for-duty assessment, and hearing test
