Job Summary
Escort patients, visitors, and employees while patrolling grounds, parking lots, and decks to deter criminal activity and mitigate safety hazards. Respond to radio and telephone calls for routine and emergency assistance, intervening in confrontations as appropriate and monitoring closed-circuit television for escalating situations. Enforce policies including parking regulations, visitation rules, drug enforcement, and tobacco-free zones, while documenting all activities in daily logs and incident reports. Execute emergency procedures, alarm responses, and evacuation plans, maintaining proficiency with defensive tools, restraint equipment, and communication systems. Remain on assigned posts, ensuring vehicles are clean and presenting a professional manner in compliance with organizational policies.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association
- High school diploma or GED
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training
- 1-2 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience

- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit
- Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span
- Possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status
- Interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age
- Provides the care needed as described in departmental policies and procedures
