Job Summary
Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises. Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property while guarding, patrolling, and monitoring industrial or commercial premises to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or infractions of rules. Enforce rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance, and escort individuals to specified locations or provide personal protection. Write detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity reports (DARs), provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner, and investigate incidents. Requires a TN State Guard License, valid driver license, and ability to stand for long periods. Full-time, 3rd shift.
Required Qualifications
- 18+ years of age
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Clean driving record and valid driver license
- Capable of following complex instructions
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Willingness to participate in the company's screening process, including drug screen and background investigation
- Knowledge of security operations and procedures
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must have or be able to obtain a TN State Guard License
- Unarmed Security License
