Job Summary
Conduct unarmed parking lot patrols across multiple premises, performing both regular and random routes to deter crime. Report security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences, and execute control procedures when necessary. Operate emergency equipment, document nightly operations, and file weekly reports while investigating property breaches. Maintain excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills, communicating clearly during emergencies and standing for long periods while walking, running, or lifting up to 50 lbs. Work a flexible roster seven days a week with reliable transport and an active cellphone.
Required Qualifications
- At least 25 years of age
- Valid Driver's License
- Clean Driving Record
- Reliable transport
- Active cellphone
- Clean criminal background
- Ability to pass a drug screen
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to perform routine foot patrols
- Must have effective written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to communicate clearly and quickly in cases of emergency
- Must be able to read and interpret written information under a variety of circumstances
- Must be able to drive a motor vehicle in the course of his/her duties if required
- Must be able to: Walk, Run, Stand, Climb, Sit
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. waist high, if required
- Must be in good mental health
- Must be able to make decisions instantly on the event of an emergency
- Must meet the physical and mental requirements of the state(s) to be licensed by the state to perform Security Guard / Security Officer work
- Must be able to obtain the status of license required for the position, either Armed or Unarmed
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Willingness and ability to work to a flexible roster, 7 days a week
