Job Summary
Conduct foot and vehicle patrols to monitor for irregular conditions, secure equipment and people, and utilize gatehouse technology while maintaining surveillance. Permit authorized entry by verifying credentials, warn violators of rule infractions, and respond promptly to emergencies, disturbances, or unauthorized persons. Sound alarms or contact emergency services for fires, medical incidents, or threats. Investigate incidents and maintain comprehensive daily activity logs and detailed reports. Provide high-level customer service to residents, members, and visitors in a courteous manner. Requires valid Florida Class D license, open availability schedule, and ability to work in diverse weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Florida Class D License
- Valid Driver's License
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 21 years of age or older
- Ability to pass background screening and drug test
- Ability to pass a mental health assessment
- Reliable transportation

- Ability to perform duties in both indoor and outdoor settings
- Ability to perform duties in diverse weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain, for extended periods
- Ability to remain in a stationary position (sitting or standing), walk for extended periods, traverse the property, or move between posts for the duration of an 8-hour shift
- Ability to continuously walk on various surfaces including pavement, grass, and uneven terrain
- Must be able to react quickly to emergency situations, which may include running, climbing stairs, or navigating obstacles
- Must have the visual acuity to monitor CCTV and observe surroundings
- Must have the auditory ability to respond to alarms and communicate via two-way radio or telephone
- Frequent reaching
- Occasional squatting, kneeling, or stooping to inspect vehicles or property
- Must be able to respond to medical emergencies and provide physical assistance as needed, including lifting or carrying individuals
- Must be able to occasionally lift, carry, push, or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to clearly exchange information, provide instructions, and draft written reports in English
- Must maintain mental alertness and attention to detail during long periods of observation

Desired Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in a gated country club environment performing patrol, gatehouse, and security dispatch duties
- Experience with alarm systems and responding to alarm activations
- Experience with ABDI gate access system
- Experience with Avigilon camera systems
