Job Summary
Oversee entrance and departure of employees and visitors to maintain premises safety, while supervising truck inspections and managing traffic flow. Conduct regular patrols and surveillance of industrial or commercial sites to prevent hazards, theft, or infractions. Enforce rules and policies, respond to emergency situations, and provide foot or vehicle escort services for personal protection or transport. Monitor for irregular activity and investigate incidents, preparing comprehensive reports. Maintain a visible presence among patrons and staff to enforce order and protect property. This role requires standing for up to 10 hours, walking up to 1–2 miles per shift, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Applicants must possess at least 2 years of security experience, reliable transportation, and proficiency in computer skills.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a security officer role
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Proficient computer skills
- Must possess reliable transportation
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to make clear decisions during crisis or high-stress periods
- Must be reliable
- Must demonstrate a positive attitude
- Must uphold ethical behavior
- Must work well with the public
- Must be able to stand on your feet for long periods up to 10 hrs
- Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods (including completing multiple rounds and patrols of up to 1–2 miles per shift)
- Must be able to frequently climb stairs, ramps, or ladders as required by site patrol routes
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Must be able to maintain alertness and situational awareness during all patrols
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
