Job Summary
Oversee entrance and departure of visitors and employees while monitoring inbound and outbound trucks for accurate documentation. Conduct regular patrols and surveillance of industrial or commercial premises to prevent safety hazards and enforce facility policies. Manage traffic flow, provide foot or motor vehicle escort services, and respond promptly to emergency situations or irregular activity. Investigate incidents and prepare comprehensive reports while maintaining a visible presence to protect property. This role requires standing for extended periods up to 10 hours, walking up to 2 miles per shift, and climbing stairs or ladders. Applicants must possess reliable transportation, own a vehicle, and be available for on-call shifts covering last-minute assignments in 1st, 2nd, or weekend shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a security officer role
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Proficient computer skills
- Must possess reliable transportation
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to make clear decisions during crisis or high-stress periods
- Must be reliable, demonstrate a positive attitude, and uphold ethical behavior
- Must have at least 2 consecutive years of Security Exp
- Must work well with the public
- Must be able to stand on your feet for long periods up to 10 hrs
- Must be able to cross train at several sites
- Must be available to be on call and cover last minute shifts
- Must have your own vehicle
- Walk and stand for extended periods (including completing multiple rounds and patrols of up to 1–2 miles per shift)
- Frequently climb stairs, ramps, or ladders as required by site patrol routes
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Maintain alertness and situational awareness during all patrols
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
