Job Summary
Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules by thoroughly examining doors, windows, and gates. Warn violators of premise rules and regulations, and apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts. Report facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes, and request emergency personnel for high-risk situations. Maintain alertness throughout the second shift from 3pm to 11pm, standing for extended periods and patrolling interior and exterior areas. React promptly to incidents, hazards, or alarms without hesitation.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Be a citizen of the United States or a Resident Alien.
- Be of good moral character and temperate habits.
- No prior revocation of Security Registration or License.
- Standing for extended or continuous periods of time.
- Walking for routine patrols or foot post duties.
- Running when required during emergencies or rapid response incidents.
- Lifting and carrying items or individuals up to 40 pounds.
- Patrolling interior and exterior areas, including stairs, uneven terrain, and large facilities.
- Communicating clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Reacting promptly to incidents, hazards, or alarms without hesitation.
- Observing, identifying, and reporting suspicious behavior or safety issues.
- Maintaining alertness throughout the shift.
- Using sound judgment during high-stress or emergent situations.
