Job Summary
Conduct security foot patrols, monitor site conditions for hazards, and respond to alarms by notifying police or fire departments. Verbally warn violators, control access points, and investigate incidents to prepare detailed reports. Utilize TrackTik Software for reporting via mobile devices and maintain professional communication with the public. Perform stationary surveillance and deter theft while ensuring property removal compliance. Requires a valid California Guard Card, one year of experience, and ability to operate two-way radios.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Current State of California Guard Card
- Current California Driver's License with No DMV points
- At least 18 Years Old
- Minimum one (1)-year Unarmed Security Officer experience
- Willingness to work flexible work schedules
- Valid High School Diploma, foreign equivalent or earned GED Certificate
- Own reliable transportation
- Valid Discharge Form DD214 (for prior Military Experience)
- Ability to hear conversation clearly at normal-voice level
- Fluent ability to speak and understand both conversational and written English
- Ability to pass Job Physical examination
- Sufficient skills to operate cellphone and/or portable two-way radio
- Proven ability to interact cordially and communicate with the Public
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Active listening skills
- Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively
- Ability to identify escalating conditions and quickly mitigate same
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. periodically
