Job Summary
Maintain a visible and professional presence to deter illegal activities and ensure the safety of personnel, visitors, and property. Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms while monitoring and controlling access to the property by verifying trucks, drivers, vendors, and authorized personnel. Use communication skills to deescalate tense situations, collaborate with law enforcement as needed, and accurately document all incidents using company-approved forms. Inspect premises for security risks, hazards, or violations and report findings. Comply with all state regulations, including maintaining current unarmed security licensure in Florida. Work independently in high-pressure environments while demonstrating professionalism. Schedule is Thursday-Monday 6am-2pm at gatehouses in Auburndale, FL.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class D Security Licenses in the state of Florida
- Must pass a background check and drug test screening
- Availability to work Thursday-Monday 6am-2pm
- Must be able to work at one of our gatehouses in Auburndale, FL
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods (minimum of 1 hour)
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Must be capable of functioning independently and remaining calm in high-pressure or intense situations
- Must comply with all state regulations, including maintaining current unarmed security licensure in Florida
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments while demonstrating professionalism and sound judgment
