Job Summary
Conduct routine and random security patrols on foot or by vehicle, monitor surveillance and alarm systems, and control access points while observing and reporting suspicious activity. Respond to incidents and emergencies, assist with basic first aid, and prepare detailed written reports on incidents, accidents, and suspicious activity in accordance with post orders. Greet, engage, and thank customers, guests, and associates to support the G.E.T. Principles, providing directions, troubleshooting concerns, and promoting a positive environment. Requires a State Unarmed Security Guard License, one year of security experience, and ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures. Full-time employees may be eligible for medical benefits, paid vacation, and 401(k).
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- State Unarmed Security Guard License
- Pass applicable state licensing tests
- Verifiable work history
- One (1) year of security experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient basic computer skills
- Ability to assess situations quickly and make sound decisions
- High attention to detail and strong observational skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations
- Proactive, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to operate radios, telephones, and monitoring equipment
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and good judgment
- Personable, approachable, and capable of building rapport with the public
- Subject to drug screening, background check, and other pre-employment requirements
