Job Summary
On-Call security officer role for unarmed positions at a cannabis dispensary in Ventura, CA. Responsibilities include crime and violence prevention, customer service, foot patrol, access control, taking notes/reports on incidents, responding to alarms, interacting with staff and visitors, and enforcing site codes. Opportunities for armed assignments if Guard Card and firearms-related permits are available. Requires BSIS Guard Card, 40 hours training, HS diploma/GED, reliability, and professional demeanor. Multiple shifts available with 12–50 hours/week initially, located in Ventura County.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1–4 years experience in security, military, or law enforcement
- Valid California Guard Card (BSIS)
- Completion of 40 hours BSIS training and most recent annual refresher
- Access to reliable transportation
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
