Job Summary
Conduct routine and random security patrols on foot or by vehicle, monitor surveillance and alarm systems, and control access points to deter theft and suspicious activity. Observe and report irregular conditions, respond to incidents, and assist with basic first aid while maintaining detailed logs in accordance with post orders. Greet, engage, and thank customers, guests, and associates to uphold the G.E.T. Principles, providing directions and troubleshooting concerns. Complete accurate written reports on incidents and accidents, serve as a liaison with local law enforcement, and ensure the post area remains clean and orderly. This part-time role involves two days of shift work.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- State Unarmed Security Guard License
- Pass applicable state licensing tests
- Verifiable work history
- One (1) year of security experience
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to operate radios, telephones, and monitoring equipment
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and good judgment
- Be personable, approachable, and capable of building rapport with the public
- Subject to drug screening, background check, and other pre-employment requirements as permitted by law
- Veterans may be required to provide a DD214 upon offer of employment
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods with minimal stooping or kneeling
- Must be able to obtain a State Unarmed Security Guard License, if required by state or local law
- Must pass applicable state licensing tests if operating a company-owned or client-provided vehicle
