Job Summary
Conduct regular and random patrols of multiple premises, including parking lots, while reporting security incidents, hazards, and unusual occurrences. Perform control procedures when necessary, operate emergency equipment, and document nightly operations with weekly reports. Investigate breaches of property and maintain excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills. Work a flexible roster seven days a week, including Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 11:30 pm, requiring a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transport. This part-time role reports to the Operations Manager and offers medical, dental, and life insurance benefits.
Required Qualifications
- At least 21 years or older
- Valid Driver's License
- Clean driving record
- Reliable transport
- Active cellphone
- Ability to pass a drug screen
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to obtain the status of license required for the position, either Armed or Unarmed
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. waist high, if required
- Must be able to Walk, Run, Stand, Climb, Sit
- Must be in good mental health and be able to make decisions instantly on the event of an emergency
- Must meet the physical and mental requirements of the state(s) to be licensed by the state to perform Security Guard / Security Officer work
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Sound communication skills
- Professional presentation
- Ability to work as a team member and solo
- Willingness and ability to work to a flexible roster, 7 days a week
- Must have effective written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to communicate clearly and quickly in cases of emergency
- A Security Officer must be able to read and interpret written information under a variety of circumstances
- A Security Officer must be able to drive a motor vehicle in the course of his/her duties if required
- A Security Officer must be able to detect and identify sounds relevant to fires, floods, alarm signals, and persons in distress against distracting sound background conditions
