Job Summary
Conduct unarmed indoor and parking lot patrols at multiple premises to prevent and deter crime. Report security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences and perform control procedures when necessary. Operate emergency equipment, document nightly operations, and file weekly reports while investigating property breaches. Maintain excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills, communicate clearly during emergencies, and drive a motor vehicle as required. Must be able to walk, run, stand, climb, sit, and lift 50 lbs. Join Inner Parish Security Corporation in Weston, WV, with an immediate start, earning $20/hour. High school diploma required; training provided for qualified candidates.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to obtain the status of license required for the position, either Armed or Unarmed
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. waist high, if required
- Must be able to drive a motor vehicle in the course of his/her duties if required
- Must be able to detect and identify sounds relevant to fires, floods, alarm signals, and persons in distress against distracting sound background conditions
- Must be able to: Walk, Run, Stand, Climb, Sit
- Must be in good mental health and be able to make decisions instantly on the event of an emergency
- Must meet the physical and mental requirements of the state(s) to be licensed by the state to perform Security Guard / Security Officer work
- Reliable transport
- Active cellphone
- Ability to pass a drug screen
- Must have effective written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to communicate clearly and quickly in cases of emergency
- A Security Officer must be able to read and interpret written information under a variety of circumstances
Desired Qualifications
- Prior law enforcement, military and/or 1 year of security experience is a plus
