Job Summary
Perform regular and random patrols of assigned areas while monitoring premises for hazards, suspicious activity, or unusual occurrences. Document daily operations, complete incident reports, and investigate property breaches or disturbances. Maintain a professional, customer-focused presence to deter criminal activity and follow site control procedures as necessary. This indoor guard position in Vancouver, WA, requires an active Guard License, valid driver's license, and clean background. Shifts include nights and weekends with flexible availability. IPSC offers armed and unarmed security services since 1977, providing medical, dental, and vision insurance alongside daily pay options.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Active Guard License through WA DOL
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible availability, including nights and weekends
- Reliable transportation
- Active cellphone
- Clean criminal background
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine foot patrols
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, especially during emergencies
- Ability to read and interpret written information in a variety of situations
- Ability to drive a motor vehicle during the course of duties if required
- Ability to detect and identify emergency sounds, including alarms and distress signals in noisy environments
- Ability to walk, stand, run, climb, and sit for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. if required
- Must maintain good mental health and sound judgment to respond quickly during emergencies
- Must meet state licensing requirements to perform Security Officer work
- High School diploma or equivalent
