Job Summary
Conduct thorough driving patrols of airport facilities, perimeters, runways, and hangars to act as a visible deterrent against rule violations and criminal activity. Monitor employee, visitor, and vehicle movements while controlling access points and maintaining accurate logs. Perform routine air traffic control duties after hours, conduct runway sweeps to clear debris, and verify proper operation of safety equipment. Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, assisting in evacuations and coordinating with law enforcement as needed. Prepare clear incident reports and daily activity logs, maintaining professional appearance and authorized equipment compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 26 years old for driving positions
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and additional client requirements
- Ability to pass MVR driving requirements for driving positions
- Strong verbal communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to write clear and accurate reports
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required
- Comfortable working outdoors, including during varied weather conditions
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be dependable, committed to ethical conduct, and acts with integrity
- Must maintain a clean, professional appearance and adhere to company grooming and uniform standards
- Valid California Guard Card
- Valid Government ID
- Valid Driver's License
- CPR/First Aid/AED Certification
- Pepper Spray Certification
- Baton Permit
- Thursday - Sunday: Grave Shift (22:00 - 06:00)
Desired Qualifications
- Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Security Guard Training Certificates preferred
- De-escalation and conflict management skills
