Job Summary
Monitor assigned school premises and personnel with high attentiveness to surroundings, locating and deterring suspicious activities while ensuring a safe learning environment. React quickly to dangerous situations, communicate effectively via radio with the site team, and identify safety hazards for correction. Safely operate a motor vehicle and travel to various locations as needed for 24/7 security operations, working both indoors and outdoors regardless of weather. Utilize assigned radio communications to coordinate with staff and provide detailed information to authorities when necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail is a must
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and adaptability to other related software
- Judgement and high level of integrity
- High initiative and reliable
- Must be able to pass the firearms test administered by Premier Security Solutions
- Safely and legally operate a motor vehicle
- Must be able to sit, stand, bend, or walk for 100% of the shift as needed
- Must be able to quickly ascend and descend stairs and move as needed to secure premises
- Must be able to quickly physically engage to de-escalate and/or respond to security or safety threats
- Must have excellent visual and auditory acuity to see, hear, and interpret observable people, things, behavior, and speech
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License and be able to provide documentation
- Required to make any/all continued training/education classes provided by Premier Security Solutions, relevant to position
