Job Summary
Unarmed Patrol Officer on a temporary campus assignment responsible for patrolling assigned campus areas using a golf cart or similar vehicle, maintaining a visible security presence, identifying and reporting suspicious activity, responding to alarms and incidents, collaborating with Campus Safety Officers and emergency personnel, preparing daily activity and incident reports, and assisting students, staff, and visitors while upholding company policies and safety regulations. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and CA Guard Card; opportunities for long-term or full-time employment based on performance. Strong observational skills, professionalism, and the ability to respond calmly under pressure are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid California Guard Card required
- No firearm permit, baton permit, taser permit, or OC spray permit required
- Prior experience in private security, military service, customer service, or law enforcement preferred
- Valid California driver's license and clean driving record
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Calm and professional demeanor under pressure
- Proficiency in the use of radios, reporting tools, and other security technologies
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Commitment to ongoing training and professional development
