Job Summary
Train and qualify for assigned posts, maintaining practical knowledge of general and emergency instructions. Maintain access control procedures, utilizing visitor management and CCTV systems to identify tenants and ensure proper sign-in for visitors. Conduct general patrols of the entire property, including stairs and exterior areas in various weather conditions, while monitoring security cameras and observing departing personnel. Respond to incidents including property emergencies, assist tenants with directions, and clearly record data regarding property damage, unusual occurrences, and equipment malfunctions. Maintain accurate logs for people, property, and packages while providing excellent customer service to all parties encountered.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 1 year prior satisfactory employment as a security officer or directly related experience
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid Security License as required by the state
- Driver's license
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to pass criminal background check
- Ability to maintain a working telephone number
- Must be available to work as needed across all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift, push, and/or pull at least 50 lbs.
- Must be able to accommodate foot patrols on the interior & exterior of the assigned facility
- Must be able to perform assigned duties regardless of inclement weather
