Job Summary
Unarmed Construction Security Officer responsible for gate guard duties, access control management, and 24/7 site protection for an active construction site in Stafford, VA. Duties include monitoring and controlling the primary access point, verifying IDs, validating vehicle permissions, operating barriers, directing traffic, maintaining logs, enforcing access-control protocols, coordinating with the General Contractor on access lists, conducting manual ID verifications, operating security systems, supervising alternative access points for deliveries, conducting perimeter patrols, reporting incidents, and completing detailed shift and incident documentation. Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods, pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks, and work 8-hour rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. U.S. Citizenship required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid security guard license as required by state/local regulations
- U.S. Citizenship
- Clean background check
- Pre-employment drug screening
- Experience preferred: construction site security
- Knowledge of access control systems
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
