Job Summary
Manage and support client accounting operations within the Unanet ERP platform, preparing journal entries, maintaining general ledger accuracy, and driving month-end and year-end close activities. Produce accurate financial statements, management reports, and key deliverables while configuring, maintaining, and optimizing Unanet accounting and project accounting systems. Analyze financial data to troubleshoot issues and recommend process improvements that enhance reporting accuracy and operational efficiency. Train client teams on Unanet functionality and best practices, collaborating with finance and operations groups to align workflows with business objectives. This client-facing role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting, 3–15 years of progressive experience, and hands-on Unanet expertise. Fully remote position with a base salary of $70,000–$145,000.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3–15 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP, month-end close, and financial reporting
- Experience managing accounting responsibilities across multiple entities or client engagements
- Hands-on experience with Unanet ERP
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and account reconciliations
- Excellent communication skills with a strong client-service mindset
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- Unanet implementation or certification experience
- Experience in outsourced accounting, public accounting, or consulting environments
- Familiarity with government contracting accounting, indirect rates, and DCAA compliance
- Experience supporting project-based organizations or professional services firms
