Job Summary
Officiate sporting games and competitions, making fair, unbiased decisions and enforcing rules while maintaining strong court positioning. Signal infractions, regulate play, apply penalties, and ensure games are safe and conducted professionally. Inspect courts, equipment, and participant readiness; manage disputes and escalate issues when required. Set up and pack down equipment before and after games, keeping accurate time and managing game flow. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of sport rules and By-Laws, providing excellent customer service to all users. This part-time role involves one day a week with potential for additional hours. Required Qualifications
- Level 1 umpiring or coaching accreditation
- Knowledge of relevant sport rules and regulations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Commitment to fair play and customer service
- Experience working with diverse groups
- National Police Clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Experience umpiring netball, basketball, futsal or similar sports
- Experience in recreation or leisure facilities
- First Aid Certificate
