Job Summary
Act as the primary interface between the accommodation and the neighborhood, conducting information and clarification work through regular citizen consultation hours. Prevent conflicts and manage complaints within the surrounding community while building networks with associations, churches, and the municipality. Participate in round tables and collaborate with social teams from other Hero accommodations to continuously develop shared standards. This role begins in a new facility in Wuppertal, starting September 1, 2026, with full-time or part-time availability. The position supports the integration process for refugees, offering a meaningful career within a dynamic, interculturally diverse team characterized by flat hierarchies and opportunities for professional development.
Required Qualifications
- (Sozial-)Pädagogische Ausbildung oder mehrjährige, relevante Arbeitserfahrung in Unterkünften für Geflüchtete
- Sehr gute Kommunikationsfähigkeiten
- Sehr gute Kenntnisse der deutschen Sprache
- Beherrschung mindestens einer europäischen Fremdsprache, vorzugsweise Englisch oder Französisch sowie möglichst (Grund-)kenntnisse mindestens einer der häufig vertretenen Sprache der Geflüchteten
- Kenntnisse der politischen und sozialen Verhältnisse der wichtigsten Herkunftsländer der Geflüchteten
- Organisiert und verantwortungsbewusst
- Selbstständig innerhalb eines Teams
- Einsatzbereit, flexibel und belastbar
- Hohe Sozialkompetenz
- Gestaltungswillen und Motivation
