Job Summary
Performs all types of diagnostic ultrasound procedures and operates ultrasound equipment in a clinical setting. Works to scan and image depending on patient needs, follows established scanning policies, orders supplies, maintains linen stock, and schedules patients for procedures. Maintains and documents quality control checks, participates in QA studies, and keeps service records. Uses imaging modalities in comparison with angiography or surgical results to ensure quality assurance, and handles imaging exams and related setup with exposure to non-controlled medications. Emphasizes patient care and safety while collaborating with the team within a clinical environment. This role is listed as an ultrasound/vascular technologist with potential advancement to ultrasound/vascular Tech II depending on skills and experience, and is located at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. Required Qualifications
- Graduate from Specialty Training Program- (Required)
- Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body
- Certified Radiology Technologist - American Registry of Radiologic Technologies (ARRT)
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- Registered Vascular Technologist - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
