Job Summary
Perform Ultrasound exams on patients as ordered by physicians in an ethical and professional manner, assisting in all aspects of the Radiology and Ultrasound Department. Maintain a working knowledge of all ultrasound equipment while demonstrating sufficient sensitivity and interpersonal skills when dealing with apprehensive patients and families. Communicate effectively with physicians and staff in any situation, utilizing the ability to think and act quickly to deliver efficient quality care in stressful environments. Registration with the American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in Abdomen, OB/GYN, or Vascular is required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be registered by the American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in any of the following disciplines: Abdomen, OB/GYN or Vascular.
- Requires sufficient sensitivity and interpersonal skills in dealing with apprehensive patients and family in a professional and compassionate manner.
- Requires positive and effective communicating skills for interaction with physicians and staff in any situation.
- Requires the ability to think and act quickly in order to deliver efficient quality care in a variety of stressful situations.
- Must maintain a working knowledge of all ultrasound equipment.
