Job Summary
Under general supervision, the Ultrasound Technologist performs various ultrasound scans to assist in the diagnosis of injury and disease for patients of all ages. Responsibilities include obtaining and recording patient clinical information, processing and recording images according to Radiologist protocol, and maintaining cleanliness of equipment. The role requires the adherence to departmental policies and health regulations, along with maintaining yearly competency in Trophon disinfection processes. Applicants are required to have an Associate Degree in medical imaging, ARDMS registration eligibility, and must complete BLS certification within 90 days.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an Associate Degree in medical imaging and/or health related field
- Registration or registry eligible by the ARDMS
- No restrictions prohibiting work as an ultrasonographer in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- BLS healthcare provider required before completion of 90 day probationary period
- Obtains additional registration in Vascular, Breast, GYN, Abdominal
