Job Summary
Perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures for infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients under the direction of the Department Director and Radiology Supervisor. Serve as a customer service representative to patients, families, the public, and medical staff while participating in quality control and organizational improvement activities. Act as a clinical/technical resource for less experienced sonographers and participate in the call schedule to meet department staffing needs. Work full-time 8-hour day shifts at St. Joseph Hospital Eureka.
Required Qualifications
- Coursework/Training Graduate of a program in diagnostic ultrasound approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association or equivalent education/experience or Completed equivalent training through self-study, on-the-job training, etc.
- Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience as a hospital-based ultrasound technologist.
