Job Summary
Perform ultrasound procedures across the Emergency Department and imaging settings, operate ultrasound machines safely, assist radiologists with invasive procedures, interpret and articulate exam results to physicians, patients, and staff, supervise on-the-job students, ensure patient prep and instructions are followed, participate in clerical and inventory tasks, and deliver compassionate, patient-centered care with a focus on quality imaging and safety.
Required Qualifications
- BCLS certification
- CPR certification within 3 months of hire
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with ARDMS (OB or AB and RVT) or able to attain within 1 year
- Maintain registry status per CE requirements of certifying organization
- Graduate of a two-year CAAHEP-accredited program (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited CAAHEP program (preferred)
- 1+ years ultrasound experience (preferred)
