Job Summary

Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations and related procedures across Radiology Imaging services, with responsibilities including patient preparation, adherence to department policies, participation in student training, and support for Lean continuous improvement. Requires ARDMS Registry eligibility (OB/GYN, Abdominal and Physics), OBMI license in Oregon, and BLS certification; high school diploma or GED plus completion of an accredited ultrasound training program. Position includes 40-hour weekly schedule with shifts (evening/night/weekend differentials noted in compensation), and may involve travel between Redmond, Prineville, and Madras hospital locations. Strong emphasis on patient care, confidentiality, professionalism, and compliance with regulatory standards; PPE use and safe environment maintenance are required. Preferred: one year full-time ultrasound experience.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Graduate eligible and Registry eligible of an accredited Ultrasound training program
  • Current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Registry or Registry eligible (OB/GYN, Abdominal and Physics)
  • Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) license
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA BLS/CPR)
  • One year full-time experience as a registered Ultrasound Technologist (preferred)
