Job Summary
Perform diversified clinical patient care, technical, and related duties within assigned modality under supervision. Execute patient assessments, correlate findings with exam requests, and document data within the EHR. Educate patients, position them, and select appropriate imaging equipment and supplies. Identify, prepare, and administer pharmaceuticals related to the exam. Select technical factors to produce quality images, identify anatomy, and evaluate images for technical quality while adhering to ALARA and MR safety principles. Assist physicians in performing procedures. This role supports the Radiology Clinical Services team at Tobey Hospital in Wareham, MA, as part of Southcoast Health's comprehensive healthcare network.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Vascular Technology
- Attainment of primary certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, the Cardiovascular Credentialing International, or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Sonography
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Full vaccination against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus
- Ability to be exempt from vaccination requirement by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
- Availability for shift and on call coverage every fourth weekend
- Availability for weeknight on call coverage
- Availability for holiday rotation call coverage

- Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and COVID-19 or have an exemption
