Job Summary
Perform diversified clinical patient care under supervision, including patient assessments, chart documentation, and education. Position patients, select imaging equipment, and administer pharmaceuticals related to exams. Select technical parameters to produce quality images, identify anatomy, and evaluate images for technical quality while adhering to ALARA and MR safety principles. Assist physicians in performing procedures. This role includes weekend, holiday, and weeknight on-call rotation coverage at Tobey Hospital and Rosebrook Medical Building. Day and evening shifts are available.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Vascular Technology
- Attainment of primary certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, the Cardiovascular Credentialing International, or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Sonography
- Registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Full vaccination against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus
- Exemption from vaccination requirement by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired
- Participation in Tobey Ultrasound department weekend, holiday, and on call rotation
