Job Summary
Ultrasound Technologist position performing ultrasound and related procedures under physician guidance. Responsibilities include executing routine and complex imaging studies, assisting physicians in a variety of imaging procedures, positioning and imaging patients across all ages (infants to geriatric), organizing processed images and measurements for interpretation, maintaining ultrasound equipment and supplies, and keeping department records and continuing education requirements up to date. Study and maintain imaging data for physicians to interpret and ensure quality patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Radiology Technology from an accredited institution
- Registered ARRT by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
- One year experience in sonography applications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Registry or registry eligible with ARDMS
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) by ARDMS preferred
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiology Technology (ARRT)
