Job Summary
Deliver diagnostic excellence by producing high-quality ultrasound images across abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN (all trimesters), small parts, and vascular exams in an outpatient setting. Maintain image quality, follow multi-specialty protocols, leverage PACS/RIS/EMR, review own work for diagnostic completeness, mentor students, participate in QA and ongoing professional development, and provide compassionate patient care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with access to advanced ultrasound technology.
Required Qualifications
- ARDMS certification in Abdomen, OB/GYN, or applicable specialty required — or registry-eligible with a clear path to certification
- Completed accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
- 1–2 years of clinical ultrasound experience (general, OB/GYN, and/or vascular) preferred
- Current BLS certification
- Valid state licensure current (where required)
- Proficiency in ultrasound equipment and PACS, RIS, and EMR systems
- Strong image optimization and multi-specialty scanning protocol knowledge
- Ability to work independently in a high-volume outpatient environment
- Strong communication skills with patients, radiologists, and clinical staff
- Commitment to QA participation and ongoing professional development
- Willingness to mentor students and contribute to a positive clinical culture
