Job Summary

Ultrasound Technologist responsible for delivering high-quality ultrasound images across abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN (all three trimesters), small parts, and vascular exams. Must ensure diagnostic completeness and image quality, review own work, and operate within multi-specialty protocols using PACS, RIS, and EMR systems. Role emphasizes autonomy in a high-volume outpatient setting, maintaining a clean, stocked exam area, and contributing to departmental operations. Candidates should demonstrate patient-centered care, clear communication with patients and radiologists, and commitment to professional development and QA participation. The position includes mentorship of students, collaboration within a team, and growth opportunities across modalities within a national network offering cross-training and internal mobility. Benefits include competitive wages, no nights or weekends, comprehensive insurance, 401(k), PTO, and other perks. Strong alignment with ARDMS-certified abdomen/OB-GYN or equivalent specialty, ongoing certification path, and proficiency in ultrasound workflows and technology are required to excel in this role.

Required Qualifications

  • ARDMS certification in Abdomen, OB/GYN, or applicable specialty required — or registry-eligible with a clear path to certification
  • Completed accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
  • 1–2 years of clinical ultrasound experience (general, OB/GYN, and/or vascular) preferred
  • Current BLS certification
  • Valid state licensure current (where required)
  • Proficiency in ultrasound equipment and PACS, RIS, and EMR systems
  • Strong image optimization and multi-specialty scanning protocol knowledge
  • Ability to work independently in a high-volume outpatient environment
  • Strong communication skills with patients, radiologists, and clinical staff
  • Commitment to QA participation and ongoing professional development
  • Willingness to mentor students and contribute to a positive clinical culture
