Job Summary
Perform diagnostic and interventional ultrasound examinations in accordance with department policies and protocols. Follow health and safety policies to maintain a safe environment for patients and caregivers. Assist in record maintenance, participate in student training programs, and support special projects as requested. Champion continuous improvement principles and deliver timely, accurate customer service. Maintain confidentiality and comply with all laws, regulations, and organizational integrity efforts. This relief position requires current ARDMS registry eligibility or registration in OB/GYN, Abdominal, or Physics, along with an Oregon OBMI license. Candidates must hold a valid Oregon driver's license and AHA BLS/CPR certification. Experience as a registered Ultrasound Technologist is preferred. Shifts are variable, and flexibility to work in Redmond, Prineville, or Madras locations may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduate eligible of an accredited Ultrasound training program
- Registry eligible of an accredited Ultrasound training program
- Current American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Registry
- Registry eligible (OB/GYN, Abdominal and Physics)
- Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) license
- Valid Oregon State Driver's License
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA BLS/CPR)
- Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Category: Patient Care Level #3 Continually (75% or more): Standing and walking, keyboard operation, use of clear and audible speaking voice and the ability to hear normal speech level
- Frequently (50%): Sitting, lifting/carrying/pushing or pulling 1-25 pounds
- Occasionally (25%): Bending, stooping/kneeling/crouching, climbing ladder/step-stool (varies by area), reaching overhead, lifting/carrying/pushing or pulling 25-50 pounds, grasping/squeezing, ability to hear whispered speech level
- Rarely (10%): Climbing stairs
- Variable Shift
- If assigned to either the Redmond, Prineville, or Madras hospital; then you may be required to work in the various northern hospital locations for St. Charles Health System
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year full-time experience as a registered Ultrasound Technologist
- Additional ARDMS registries
- Support RDMS, SDMS, and local affiliations
