Job Summary
Performs OB/GYN, abdominal and small parts ultrasound examinations; assists the radiologist during invasive procedures; makes clinical judgments of the patient’s condition based on information from the referring physician, medical records, patient interview and personal assessments. Requires completion of an ultrasound training program with eligibility to take ARDMS registry, national certification within 1 year of hire, and BLS certification, plus 1 year of ultrasound experience.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of Ultrasound training program --- Education sufficient to meet eligibility requirements to take ARDMS registry examination
- Within 1 year of hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- 1 year of experience as an ultrasound technologist or ultrasound intern
