Job Summary
Operate diagnostic ultrasound equipment to perform procedures on internal organs, vessels, fetuses, and masses, reporting findings and transferring images to PACS. Assist radiologists during procedures by managing equipment and supplies, while maintaining equipment cleanliness and completing daily computer system closures. Review charts and maintain data logs as required. Participate in an on-call rotation where you must respond within 30 minutes and arrive at the hospital within 45 minutes. Requires Registry in Abdomen and OB ultrasound, BLS certification, and six months of formal training.
Required Qualifications
- Six months of formal training that includes hands on clinical applications
- Must have or be eligible for Registry in Abdomen and OB ultrasound
- Registry required within 2 years
- BLS certification required
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school for Diagnostic Ultrasound with a minimum of 6 months formal training in Ultrasound preferred
- Vascular registry preferred
- Proficient in all areas of diagnostic ultrasound
- ARDMS preferred
