Ultrasound Technologist - PRN

Job Summary
Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams to obtain high-quality images for interpretation, operate US equipment and adjust procedures per physician orders while complying with legal and professional standards. Independently perform or assist licensed practitioners in diagnostic exams, cover per-diem shifts, maintain proficiency, train new technologists/patient coordinators as needed, and ensure effective communication with radiologists and patients. Maintain patient safety, HIPAA, and quality outcomes; demonstrate competency across ultrasound equipment and imaging protocols; utilize EMR/PACS/DICOM for image sharing; participate in ongoing education and competency programs; and support a team-oriented work environment across multiple sites.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Associate degree preferred or equivalent ultrasound experience
- 1-2 years experience in Ultrasound
- ARRT (S) or ARDMS certification
- CPR/BLS (AHA or ARC)
- ACLS where applicable
- Valid state driver’s license if applicable
- Ability to work at several locations
- Strong customer service and organizational skills
- Proficiency with EMR, PACS, and DICOM systems
- Knowledge of sterile technique and probe cleansing
- HIPAA confidentiality compliance
