Job Summary
The Ultrasound Technologist at the Perinatal Diagnostic Center performs routine and specialized sonography procedures for high-risk obstetric patients. Responsibilities include providing ultrasound imaging for diagnosis and treatment, preparing exam rooms and equipment, and ensuring patient safety during examinations. The role requires knowledge of maternal and fetal anatomy, performing detailed fetal assessments, and assisting licensed practitioners with diagnostic procedures. Candidates must hold an Associate degree in sonography, with certification from ARDMS preferred. CPR and BLS certifications are also required.
Required Qualifications
- Satisfactory completion of an accredited education program in sonography or equivalent
- Less than one year of experience
Desired Qualifications
- Current certification by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or eligibility for certification
- Must obtain ARDMS certification in Abdomen and OB-Gyn within one year of hire
- Current CPR for Healthcare Providers
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must obtain within 30 days if not already certified)
